Concealed Carry Class (NRA Home Firearms Safety)In this class you will be taught basic gun safety, storage, and maintenance. You will also be introduced to the many different types and styles of firearms including handguns, rifles, & shotguns plus you will be taught how to safely load and unload each one. A certificate of completion will be awarded as part of this class. The main focus of the class is education and safety. This class meets the the requirements for obtaining a VA Concealed Carry permit. Pistol First Steps and/or Basic Pistol Marksmanship (CCW Class)In this class you will be taught basic handgun safety and marksmanship. Pistol First Steps covers a specific handgun and Basic Pistol Marksmanship covers both revolvers and semi-automatics. Included in the class is individual live fire training at a local range. A certificate of completion will be awarded as part of this class. The main focus of the class is safety & marksmanship.Practical Pistol (IDPA Competition) - This is not a NRA approved or endorsed course.In this class you will learn how to safely and effectively draw your pistol from a holster and engage targets in a competition environment that simulates self defense situations. You will learn to perform practical reloads, shoot from behind cover and concealment, and shoot while moving. This class focuses on preparing you for IDPA/IPSC style competitions with the focus primarily on IDPA. These classes are typically taught one-on-one or for small groups.NRA Personal Protection (in the Home)In this class you will be taught basic Personal Protection techniques with a handgun and how to protect yourself safely in your home. You will also learn how to be more aware of your surroundings and also prepared for potential violent confrontations. The main focus of the class is Personal Protection, safety, & marksmanship. You may bring your own self defense firearm if you wish, you will need at least 100 rounds of ammunition. No live ammunition is allowed in the classroom! Prior attendance of a Pistol shooting class or other proof of handgun shooting skills is required.NRA Personal Protection (Outside the Home)In this class you will be taught basic Personal Protection techniques with a handgun and how to protect yourself safely when carrying a concealed handgun outside the home. You will also learn how to be more aware of your surroundings and also prepared for potential violent confrontations. The main focus of the class is Personal Protection, safety, & marksmanship. You may bring your own self defense firearm if you wish, you will need at least 100 rounds of ammunition. No live ammunition is allowed in the classroom! Prior attendance of a Pistol shooting class or other proof of handgun shooting skills is required.Rifle First Steps (AR-15/M-16, AK-47, & HK-MP5 Classes also offered)In this class you will be taught basic rifle safety and marksmanship plus additional topics such as cleaning, storage, and transportation. You may provide your own rifle or BBSG can provide one. We also specialize in AR-15/M-16, AK-47, & HK-MP5 training. Included in the class is individual live fire training at a local range. The main focus of the class is safety & marksmanship. This class is a combination of NRA, Army, and Marine training techniques. Class includes ammunition, targets, range time.Shotgun First StepsIn this class you will be taught basic shotgun safety and marksmanship plus additional topics such as cleaning, storage, and transportation. You may provide your own shotgun or BBSG can provide one. This is a great class to learn how to shoot skeet and/or trap. The main focus of the class is safety & marksmanship. Class includes ammunition, targets, range time.Note: These classes can also be taught privately one-on-one or to small groups, private classes start at $200 per day. |
